Blink and you’ll miss it! Tangletown, Elysian’s third and smallest brewpub, is not a place you’ll discover by accident. Unless you’re a local, or find yourself lost in the neighborhood, you’ll never know this hidden gem of a place exists.
Elysian Tangletown is very much a neighbothood brewpub by its location, its size, and just the vibe you feel when you step inside. However it is an Elysian brewpub which means it has some of the best beer in all of Seattle, and some nice food choices too. Also, of the three Elysian brewpubs, I would consider this one the most kid-friendly based on our own experience.
Unique among the Elysian brewpubs it opens on weekends at 11am and serves brunch until 3pm. Eggs Benedict and Wise ESB, now that’s something I want to go back for.
Tangletown is located at the intersection of Meridian Avenue and North 55th Street – which is between Green Lake to the north, Wallingford to the south, Woodland Park to the west and I-5 to the east (exit N 50th St). Bus #16 passes right past Tangletown on its way between downtown Seattle and Northgate transit center.
