17th Banbury Beer & Cider Festival 2017

Here’s an excellent opportunity for a Fueled by Beer field trip: North Oxfordshire CAMRA’s Banbury Beer & Cider Festival. This year it returns to its regular springtime slot: Thursday 4th through Saturday 6th May 2017. The theme will be Yorkshire, which allegedly has more breweries than any other county. To view the list of beers with tasting notes, click here; or to view my less detailed spreadsheet, scroll to the bottom of this post…

Banbury is a 45 minute trip from Reading via Cross Country Trains half-hourly service. The festival venue is approximately 20 minutes walk from Banbury Station. And while in Banbury, why not make time to visit the town’s first micropub, The Bailiff’s Tap, which opened in February 2017. It’s roughly 15 minutes walk from the festival venue; then about the same again back to Banbury Station.
