Where breweries, beer drinkers, seekers of good times come together. Mostly CAMRA organised events (Campaign for Real Ale) but not always.

Newbury Real Ale Festival 2017

Final preparations are underway for the 14th Newbury Real Ale Festival which will be held on Saturday 9th September at Northcroft Fields. Although not a CAMRA event this is one of our favorite festivals. Organised and run by Newbury & Thatcham Hockey Club as a non-profit venture, it raises funds for Naomi House Children’s Hospices. 40th Great British Beer Festival 2017

The 40th Great British Beer Festival is now underway at Olympia in London. The festival runs through Saturday 12th August. Many local CAMRA branches organise social gatherings on at least one of the festival days. For example: Berkshire Southeast will meet on Thursday 10th; while West Berkshire will meet on Friday 11th. 27th Egham Beer & Cider Festival

Final preparations are almost complete for the 27th Egham Beer Festival. The triannual event, hosted by Egham United Services Club and ably assisted by North Surrey CAMRA, is set to run from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th August. Egham is a great location for a beer festival, being situated halfway along the Reading to London Waterloo line, with half-hourly train service in both directions. The journey time to Egham is the same from Reading and London: roughly 40 minutes. The United Services Club is then a 10-15 minute walk from Egham Station…

Moor Beer 10th Anniversary Celebration

Bristol’s Moor Beer recently celebrated their 10th anniversary with a weekend of beer, food and entertainment. They were joined by several Bristol craft breweries, including their neighbors who together form the East Bristol Brewery Trail (Moor, Good Chemistry, Left Handed Giant, Dawkins and Arbor). And breweries from as far afield as Germany, Belgium, Italy and Spain brought beer to the event too… (more…)

4th Kidbrooke Beer Festival: In Review

SE London CAMRA has just wrapped up their 4th Kidbrooke Beer Festival, their most successful yet. They set new records for attendance and beer sales and now look forward to even bigger and better things in 2018. Mr Fueled by Beer rode the rails from Reading over to Kidbrooke to attend the Friday session and was impressed by the friendliness of the event, its smooth running, and the quality of the beer on offer… (more…)
